OSO — No serious injuries were reported in a crossover wreck that closed Highway 530 near Oso for nearly four hours on Wednesday afternoon.
Just after noon, a 33-year-old Mount Vernon woman who was eastbound in a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am crossed the center line and was struck by a semi-tractor-trailer, according to police.
The woman reportedly told investigators that she may have fallen asleep, said trooper Keith Leary with the Washington State Patrol. She had minor injuries and was taken to an Arlington hospital.
The other driver, a 47-year-old Mount Vernon man, was unhurt.
The collision spilled up to 100 gallons of diesel fuel, Leary said. The state Department of Ecology was notified of the spill.
The highway reopened about 3:30 p.m.
