SALEM, Ore. — Marion County authorities say they’ve found a couple who went hunting but got stranded when a branch they drove over flipped up and broke their fuel line.
The sheriff’s office says Robert and Bonnie Boatman, who are both 69, had extra clothes, food, water and blankets in their van.
The son reported them missing Tuesday night after they called him from near Silverton, but searchers couldn’t find them.
On Wednesday morning, a volunteer searcher recognized the description of the area where the couple was stranded and soon located them.
