JOINT BASE LEWIS-McCHORD — A howitzer unit that fought in World War II and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan has been deactivated at Joint Base Lewis-McChord as part of the Army’s downsizing.
The colors for the 1st Battalion, 377th Field Artillery Regiment were cased Wednesday in a flag ceremony.
