MILL CREEK — A newborn was in satisfactory condition at a local hospital after authorities found her and her mother in the Tulalip area on Saturday morning, police said.
The state issued an Amber Alert Friday night for baby Annabelle Martini, who had been born at a home along Mill Creek Boulevard around 6:30 a.m. the same morning. The baby suffered from breathing problems and needed immediate medical attention, police said.
The mother, Jaime Martini, 20, told people she was taking the baby to a hospital, but couldn’t be found at any local facility, police said.
Local and federal law enforcement officers found the mother and daughter around 7:30 a.m. Saturday in the 3300 block of Reuben Shelton Drive, near Martini’s home on the Tulalip reservation. Paramedics checked the newborn at the scene and took her to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. The mother was taken to the same hospital for treatment and also was listed in satisfactory condition.
