MARYSVILLE — The Marysville School Board has re-opened the application process to fill a seat left vacant after former member Cindy Rebain (Erickson) resigned in September.
People can apply now through Nov. 8. Application materials are posted on the district’s website www.msvl.k12.wa.us.
Application packets also are available at the district’s Educational Service Center at 4220 80th St. NE, Marysville.
The board is seeking an individual with experience around public education and operations of the schools and the district. To be eligible, those interested in applying must reside in the Director 2 area, be a registered voter, a legal resident in the state and a U.S. citizen. The area map and description can be viewed on the district website or verified by calling the Snohomish County Elections office at 435-388-3444.
Filling the vacated board seat will be done through an application and interview process with the new director appointed by the school board. Once appointed, the new director would finish the term that runs through November 2015.
