MARYSVILLE -- A fire Monday night caused extensive damage to a two-story Marysville home in the 9400 block of 62nd Drive NE.
The fire was reported around 9:20 p.m.
Flames were visible from the first floor through the roof by the time firefighters arrived, Marysville fire marshal Tom Maloney said. The fire was fought defensively.
No one was home at the time.
Total damage is estimated at $275,000.
More than two dozen firefighters battled the blaze. Snohomish County Fire District 22 at Getchell provided mutual aid.
The cause of fire is under investigation, Maloney said. The Snohomish County Chapter of the American Red Cross is helping the people who lived at the home.
