MONROE — A Granite Falls man suffered serious injuries Saturday after a tree fell on his car near Monroe.
The man, 48, was southbound on Highway 203 about 11 a.m. just south of town when the tree fell, said trooper Mark Francis with the Washington State Patrol.
The man was taken to a local hospital. He was expected to survive.
Saturday afternoon also saw reports of backups on U.S. 2 near Gold Bar because of falling trees.
