Prep girls soccer: Marysville Pilchuck 2, Ferndale 1

MARYSVILLE -- Marysville Pilchuck's Mackinzie Nolte and Shauna Cameron each scored in the second half and the Tomahawks staved off elimination in 3A district tournament loser-out match. Katelyn Neher fired the Golden Eagles into the lead in the 8th minute, but Nolte scored in the 60th and assisted on Cameron's go-ahead goal six minutes later. Marysville Pilchuck will host rival Marysville Getchell on Thursday in a consolation semifinal.
At Quil Ceda Stadium
Goals--Katelyn Neher (F), Mackinzie Nolte (MP), Shauna Cameron (MP). Assists--Amanda Klep (MP), Nolte. Goalkeepers--Ferndale: Linsey Honeycutt. Marysville Pilchuck: Emily Dunston. Records--Ferndale 8-7-2 overall. Marysville Pilchuck 10-8-0.
