Sea Mar Community Health Centers and Molina Healthcare offer free flu shots, 4-7 p.m. Nov. 14 at Sea Mar Everett, 1920 100th St. SE. The free vaccine will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis to the first 75 adults and 100 children ages 2 and older.
The flu shot protects against the three main types of flu strains.
Fire district budget hearing: The Monroe fire district plans a public hearing at 7 p.m. Nov. 11 for neighbors to provide input about the proposed 2014 budget. The meeting will be held at 163 Village Court, Monroe.
Food drive this month: The Unchained Brotherhood, a clean-and-sober club in Everett, holds its annual food drive Nov. 16 and 17.
Donations of nonperishable food items will be accepted from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. outside Albertson’s, 6727 Evergreen Way, Everett. Donations benefit local homeless shelters. Call Jerry Remington, 425-754-7096.
Family art classes: A wreath made of sweet bay leaves, a decorative painted glass bottle or a set of watercolor cards are all gifts anyone can create in the Schack Art Center’s new Holiday Workshops.
Several workshops allow the whole family to participate.
And the Schack’s Make it Now series in the hot shop continues with “Make Your Own Glass Ornaments” beginning Nov. 17 and running every Sunday afternoon through Dec. 15. Cost is $50 and registration is highly recommended.
