ARLINGTON — No one was hurt Monday afternoon when a suspected road-rage confrontation ended in gunfire near Arlington.
The incident started about 2:45 p.m. between a motorcyclist and another driver on Highway 9, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
The motorcyclist believed the other driver was trying to run him off the road, Ireton said.
Both people were headed home and didn’t realize they lived close to each other, she said.
When the other driver went to his house along 99th Ave NE, the motorcyclist stood on the man’s lawn and made threats, Ireton said.
The man who was threatened fired a handgun.
An investigation is ongoing, Ireton said.
No other details were immediately available Monday.
