PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland-based Mercy Corps is sending two staff members to the Philippines to assess typhoon damage.
Spokeswoman Lindsay Murphy told The Oregonian it will work through partner organizations to help provide clean water, sanitation, temporary shelter and food to storm victims.
The nonprofit is taking donations through its website.
Tigard-based Medical Teams International also is taking donations to send emergency health kits to the Philippines.
