Edmonds robbery suspect nabbed
"The robbery committed in Edmonds was found to have been committed by the same suspect in at least four other robberies in the Seattle area," Edmonds police Sgt. Mark Marsh said in an email Wednesday.
The suspect was arrested on Tuesday by the Seattle Safe Streets Task Force. The police team earlier had sent out an alert about a prolific robber they'd named for his habit of wearing a baseball cap during robberies.
Alaska Credit Union, located the Safeway store in the 23000 block of Highway 99, was hit about 1:20 p.m. on Sunday. The bandit was wearing a baseball cap under a plaid hoodie-style sweatshirt.
Video surveillance captured clear images during the Edmonds robbery and some of the other holdups.
