BELLEVUE — Former Bellevue Mayor Nan Campbell has died of injuries she suffered escaping a fire at her apartment building.
Campbell’s daughter said she died Monday night. She was 87.
KING reports Campbell fell while escaping the Nov. 5 fire at the Hampton Green Apartments in Bellevue. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Campbell served on the Bellevue City Council and was selected to be the city’s first woman mayor in 1988.
