I Will Keep Your Ghost won the Mayor's Young Artist award.

Tonight at 5 p.m., at the Everett Station, Everett band I Will Keep Your Ghost will receive the Mayor's Young Artist award.

Let me tell you why.

I Will Keep Your Ghost have been a staple in this music community for the last three years. Not only are they creating some of the best music in Everett, they also go to every show they can around town and were present for every single Sets In The West performance (and headlined the final show of the summer) bringing friends out and helping to spread the word about the growing music scene in Everett. Not because they want attention, but because they believe in the movement and change that is happening in our local music landscape and want to support it any way they can.

It was inspiring to watch the community rally to support I Will Keep Your Ghost when they launched a very successful Kickstarter campaign in July allowing them to get in the studio and finish their first official EP titled "It's Natural" which is due out in the coming weeks.

Bryan and Aaron are proud to be from Everett and it is fun to watch the crowd react when they play hometown shows and mention that they grew up just around the corner.

"We've spent the last three years working on I Will Keep Your Ghost and it's an honor to be recognized for our hard work and love for the community" said Bradley.

"We are thrilled to be recognized by the city with this award, and grateful to all those who have come out to support us and dance at our shows. 2014 is going to be exciting for us with a lot of new material and we are excited to share it!" said Coughlin.

If you have not seen I Will Keep Your Ghost live yet you won't have to wait long. They are having their "It's Natural" EP release party at Kroakers in Everett on Saturday, Dec. 14. They will be playing with Seattle artists Vox Mod and Kairos.

Hear about I Will Keep Your Ghost's music below from Bryan and Aaron themselves.
