Funeral Honors
Edmonds Memorial Cemetery is set to host a Military Funeral Honors ceremony at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the cemetery, 820 15th St. SW.
The ceremony is for surviving family members of deceased veterans who, at the time of their deaths, did not receive funeral honors. Working with the 81st Brigade Battalion of the Washington National Guard and the Honor Guard of VFW Post 1040 of Lynnwood, Cemetery Sexton Cliff Edwards plans to prepare the cemetery grounds to accommodate family members. Active Duty
Air Force 2nd Lt. Nicholas Caraballo, of Snohomish, recently graduated from North Atlantic Treaty Organization Joint Jet Pilot Training in Wichita Falls, Texas. Caraballo is the son of John and Tami Caraballo of Snohomish. He is a 2005 graduate of Snohomish High School and a 2010 graduate of Pacific Lutheran University. He is scheduled to move to North Carolina for continued fighter jet training.
Air Force Airman Jeff D. Baldwin graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Baldwin earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is the son of Janet Baldwin of Bothell. The airman is a 2012 graduate of Northshore Networks High School.
Air Force Airman Cody K. Brydges graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Brydges is the son of Timothy and Covina O-Brien of Oak Harbor and is a 2011 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.
Army Reserve Pfc. Garrett J. Padilla has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Padilla is the son of Shelley-Padilla of Bothell and is a 2011 graduate of Bothell High School.
Air Force Airman Megan R. Jeffers graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Jeffers earned distinction as an honor graduate. She is the daughter of Jody Jeffers of Freeland and is a 2012 graduate of South Whidbey High School.
