The Daily Herald’s parent company, Sound Publishing, is gearing up for a Thanksgiving and Black Friday week in which its 42 local publications will deliver 10 million holiday advertising inserts to readers in the greater Puget Sound area.
At Sound’s production facility in Everett, the printed circulars already occupy more than 600 wooden storage pallets on the shipping docks, and more are on the way this week. The staff at the regional press center will clock more than 2,100 hours to get the inserts to more than 500 adult and youth carriers who serve 1.4 million readers.
