MARYSVILLE — Two young boys are now in protective custody after a multi-day search for them.
Marysville police late Tuesday night began seeking the public’s help in locating locate the brothers, ages 3 and 2, after they reportedly were taken Sunday by their troubled mother.
The boys’ grandmother is their appointed guardian. Her daughter, Tara M. Anderson-Miller, 30, struggles with drugs and has been deemed by the state to be unfit to care for her sons, Marysville police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said.
Miller recently was released from the Snohomish County Jail. She was allowed to stay at her mother’s home to visit the children. She reportedly left with the boys early Sunday morning.
Police on Tuesday night released information to the media about the boys and their mother, including their photographs. Tips came in to detectives and the boys were located in south Everett, Lamoureux reported Wednesday afternoon.
Anderson-Miller had fled the area before police officers arrived.
