Snohomish holiday fun: The city is working hard to welcome visitors on the day after Thanksgiving. On Friday, there will be live music at 4 p.m. Then Santa will begin a cruise down First Street at 5:45 followed by a tree lighting at 6 p.m. After that, Santa will hang around to visit with kids. Wreath making: Several local nurseries are offering classes this weekend.
- Christianson’s Nursery and Greenhouse, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday; $5. Reservations required. Call 360-466-3821. The nursery is at 15806 Best Road, Mount Vernon.

Family music Tim Noah, Cyndi Soup, Gus Puppy and friends will lead a family-friendly musical performance in celebration of things to be thankful for at the Tim Noah Thumbnail Theater in Snohomish. The show is at 1 p.m. Friday. Admission is by donation. Get more info here.

Sing: A sing-along “Sound of Music” is at noon on Saturday at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. Tickets are $15 to $20. Costumes are encouraged. Get more info here.
Moving fast: A combo of mime, dance and acrobatics is on tap at McIntyre Hall in Mount Vernon on Sunday. “Frogz” is a presentation of Imago Theatre. Tickets are $25 and $15 for children under 12. Get more info here.
“It’s a Wonderful Life”: The Thanksgiving tradition continues with a weekend of screenings and a visit from Karolyn Grimes, who played Zuzu in the film. The shows are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Everett Historic Theatre. Grimes will attend the Saturday show to introduce the film and answer questions afterward. Tickets are $12.
