Political system

Give young people reason to believe

What happened to the days of compromise when it concerns politics in this great nation? Both sides seem to have so much hatred for each other, and while I blame Republicans more, I won't give Democrats a free pass. No way at all. Both parties need to realize that they are showing the future generations that politics are indeed broken, and will never be fixed. Nobody trusts politicians because of what these guys are doing, and that is just a shame.
I remember being so excited to vote for the first time when I turned 18, and it's just too bad that most younger people probably don't feel that way. I hope things change for the better sooner rather than later because I am an optimist, but these elected officials are just too much sometimes for me to think things will change. Both parties need to work together to solve our nation's many problems, but I don't put much stock into that. Very sad indeed.
