Artists’ Christmas Sale: Artists will sell their work this weekend at Joan Pinney’s studio, 21302 Echo Lake Road, Snohomish. Artists include Clara Russell, Cheryl Ruhnke, Sally Ohlsen, Joan Pinney, Jeanne Whitney, Valorie Hamlin, Priscilla Zwadlo, Bev Wilkinson, Teri Alverdes, Carol Doherty and Audrey Bannon, selling watercolors, acrylics, prints, cards, jewelry, glass ornaments, crafts and fresh wreaths. Paul Christensen paintings: Oils painted from the artist’s digital photographs are on view in a juried solo show through the end of the year at Mill Creek City Hall, 15728 Main St., Mill Creek. Sales of Christensen’s paintings are donated to the Wounded Warrior fund, a program that assists veterans who have been injured in service to their country.

Poster art: The city of Everett is accepting submissions for a poster marketing the 2014 Sorticulture Garden Arts Festival in Everett. Artists should submit work via www.Entrythingy.com, a free, user-friendly, artist entry format. Access to the online entry form can be found at www.everettwa.org/default.aspx?ID=1939. Colorful, bold, strong graphic images reproduce the best. Art images focusing on gardening, summer, flowers, birds or other garden wildlife work well. The deadline is Jan. 6.

Felsenthal will show work from her August horse trek across Mongolia and a series of abstractions integrating animals into landscapes.

La Conner Quilt &Textile Museum: 703 S Second St., La Conner; 360-466-4288; www.laconnerquilts.com. “Abstracted,” an exhibit by the Fiber Art Network from Western Canada, explores the concept of realistic and abstract art. Pairs of artists illustrate their subject: one in a representative piece and one in an abstract or nonrepresentative piece. Through Dec. 29. The Gaches Mansion will be decorated for the holidays through Dec. 29. Seasonal quilts from the permanent collection will be displayed, including a red and white Log Cabin quilt made by Vina McGraw in the 1930s. The quilt top was recently quilted by the Guemes Island Women’s Fellowship. The display includes a 1940s Bethlehem Star, completed handmade, and Victorian era quilts, crazy quilts, Civil War era quilts and red and green applique quilts. A reception with refreshments will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 7.
