SULTAN — Behind the leadership of seniors Karl Spencer and Evan West, Granite Falls managed to take the Cascade Conference opener by defeating rival Sultan 81-70.
Spencer finished the night with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while West added 19 points to go along with his eight assists.
“(Karl) is really active on the glass,” said Tigers head coach Andy Estes. “He’s a versatile post and Evan just had a well balanced game. Evan had nine in the fourth and he took a shot with about three minutes left that was just a shot that a true senior takes.”
