2-night event brings together eclectic lineup

There are a lot of great concert options this month that have a holiday theme of some sort, but legendary Seattle DJ Marco Collins has curated something special with his Acoustic Christmas Nights in Ballard. This is a two night event you won’t want to miss.

This lineup has something for everyone. No really, it does.

“The lineup is a very eclectic one which kind of reflects my taste in music. I’ve never believed that certain artists don’t belong on the same bill just because of their sound. I think it more than works to put rock bands, hip hop artists and acoustic musicians on the same bill” said Collins.

The bill includes acoustic singer songwriters like Kris Orlowski and Noah Gunderson, hip hop artist Wanz (of Macklemore’s song “Thrift Shop”), Braden Blake of Super Delux, Hot Bodies In Motion front man Ben Carson, Hollis Wong-Wear of The Flavr Blue (and Macklemore’s “White Walls”), bluesy rockers Hobosexual and more. Also, Marco said today that there is a high likelihood of a very special performer dropping by, but couldn’t say who.

The chance to see some of these artists playing acoustic is very rare and an opportunity to see any of them (let alone all of them) in a room that only holds 125 people is a pretty special one.

The shows will be Friday, Dec. 20 and Saturday, Dec. 21. The show will be in the Volterra Drawing Room in Ballard and is all ages so feel free to bring the kids. Tickets are only $15 a night. See and hear the lineup below:
