SNOHOMISH — A quick start on offense and a double-double from Nick Allan helped guide Glacier Peak Tuesday night to a 56-50 victory over Shorecrest for its first Wesco 3A South win of the season.
“From the beginning we played real solid defense,” said Grizzlies head coach Brian Hunter on his team’s 13-5 run to end the first quarter. “We forced them into some tough shots and rebounded fairly well. Later on we got the open looks we were looking for. Our kids did a pretty nice job tonight.”
Allan’s 11 rebounds and 10 points paced the Glacier Peak balanced offense.
“We had four kids score in double figures,” Hunter said. “We tend to spread the ball around a lot and it’s always a postive when you see that number of guys doing that for you.”
