Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season and third time in his career. Sherman had a pair of interceptions in Sunday’s win over the New York Giants, and also had an “assist” on an Earl Thomas interception, and his six interceptions this season are tied for a league high. Sherman’s 14 interceptions in the last two seasons also lead the NFL.
