The city of Snohomish is dressed up for the holidays and ready for visitors.
Celebrate the winter solstice from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday with a candlelight walk along the Riverfront Trail, which runs along the south side of downtown from Cady Park on the east end to the Avenue D bridge.
Luminaries light the way and some groups sing carols or just stroll with their friends on this darkest day of the year.
Things rev up a bit from 6 to 7 p.m. during the Freestyle Christmas Lights Cruise when street-legal cars, trucks and two-wheelers adorned with lights make laps around a downtown loop along First Street, Avenue D, Second Street and Union Avenue.
Join in or just watch.
