Man leaves empty-handed in Langley home invasion

LANGLEY -- Island County detectives are investigating a home invasion that occurred Monday night near Langley.
A masked man with a shotgun broke into the home through a window, Island County Sheriff's Office detective Ed Wallace said.
"The suspect pointed the weapon at the residents but made no demands," Wallace said.
He searched the home and left a short time later in a black car, possibly a Volkswagen Jetta.
The people in the home told deputies they didn't recognize the assailant, Wallace said.
