There will be another murder on the Orient Express and filmmakers Ridley Scott, Mark Gordon and Simon Kinberg are all suspects in the upcoming crime.
Fox has acquired rights to Agatha Christie’s tremendously popular mystery, “Murder on the Orient Express,” which has already been made into an Oscar-winning movie and was part of the “Poirot” series which has aired on PBS.
“Murder” involves Christie’s dandy little Belgium detective, Hercule Poirot, who finds himself confronted with the baffling murder of an annoying American in one of the train’s luxury compartments.
His suspects run the gamut from a princess to a car salesman to an actress — all with possible motives. “Murder on the Orient Express” remains one of the most popular of Christie’s 80 novels.
Writers and casting are still unconfirmed.
