The IT Academy arrives in Everett
Microsoft IT Academy training provides participants with industry-leading technology skills to help bridge the skills gap for students and adults. The IT Academy offers technology courses on three levels – basic literacy skills, Microsoft Office skills and advanced skills for IT professionals. All of the online training included in the IT Academy program is free, and includes 250 courses and resources.
You can access the IT Academy from our homepage, or from this direct link. A Microsoft Account, which you can sign up for if you don't already have one, and a valid Everett Public Library card are needed to participate. Consult the Everett Public Library's IT Academy handout or Microsoft's FAQ for more details about access and how to use this excellent resource.
Of course, never forget that we have a great collection of materials here at the library concerning computer skills and learning specific programs. As you work your way through the IT Academy, our collections on Microsoft Excel, Word, Publisher, Outlook, and PowerPoint should be particularly helpful. So if you need to learn or improve upon you computer skills, you now have an excellent new resource to utilize.
