SNOHOMISH — Police in Snohomish are warning neighbors about a rash of thefts targeting batteries in recreational vehicles.
Police recommend that people store those batteries in secure areas, according to the city newsletter.
Two thefts were reported Jan. 7 in the 800 and 900 blocks of 19th Street near Blackmans Lake.
An attempted theft was reported Jan. 8 in the 1000 block of Avenue A. The thief may have been associated with a white Dodge Neon. No suspect description is available.
The thieves most likely are planning to sell the batteries as metal scrap, according to police.
Anyone who sees suspicious activity should call 911.
