Should have shown off his tinfoil hat instead: Police in Pierce County arrested a convicted felon for investigation of unlawful firearm possession after the guy was seen on the “Doomsday Preppers” TV show firing his guns on his property (Northwest Briefly, Page A6).
Sounds like it will be an open-and-shut case — unless no cop is willing to admit in court that they actually watch “Doomsday Preppers.”
RIP, sitcom supporting actors: Russell Johnson, who played the Professor on “Gilligan’s Island,” died Thursday at his Bainbridge Island home. He was 89. Also Thursday, Dave Madden, who played blonde-toupeed band manager Reuben Kincaid on “The Partridge Family,” died at a Florida hospice. He was 82.
Since celebrity deaths often seem to happen in threes, someone better check on Ken Berry.
Dirty dog: Seattle Mariners brand Beef Franks have been recalled.
The hot dogs may be past their pull-by date — just like the M’s general manager.
