Well, again a little child had to lose her life and again we are asking why. Here is the solution, it is pretty darn simple – microchips. As far as I know, right now if you are convicted of a crime and sent to prison they make you give a sample of your DNA. This way they have a database. We also have the ability to track cars when they are stolen and even shut them down in their tracks. So why is it so hard to track sex offenders? Yes, they move around a lot, but microchips would alleviate that problem.
Why not make it mandatory that whoever gets convicted of a sex crime be required to have a microchip implanted? Here’s what it will do:
1. Create an accessible database of convicted sex offenders in real time that lets you know where they are located at all times. So if they move without telling the proper authorities, we can track them down.
2. If, God forbid, a child is taken, you pull up that database and find out what convicted sex offender was in that area at that time and where he is at that given moment, so you can send the authorities to see if the child is with that person and probably stop something terrible from happening.
3. Not saying it will, but it might make the sex offender think twice about snatching up our loved ones. Because we would be able to detect where sex offenders are at all times. There would be no safe haven for them.
Do our children not deserve protection? Why is it that we can find our car after it is stolen via GPS tracking, but not our kids?
The solution is simple and our children deserve to feel safe.
