Josh Thayer

Stanwood | Boys basketball

The Spartans guard scored 27 points as Stanwood held on to beat Mountlake Terrace and assert itself as the dominant team in Wesco in 3A. Thayer also had 18 points in a win over Glacier Peak that keeps the Spartans unbeaten on the season.

The Wildcats guard scored 42 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had five steals in a win over Sultan and also had 23 points, six rebounds and three blocks in a win over South Whidbey.

Stanwood | Wrestling

The Spartans wrestler won both of his matches in Stanwood’s wins over rivals Arlington and Everett and then won the 152-pound weight class at the Premier Tournament at Marysville Pilchuck H.S.

Henry Limm

Kamiak | Boys swimming

The Knights swimmer won the 100-yard butterfly and the 100 breastroke and swam legs on both of Kamiak’s victorious relay teams as Kamiak beat Meadowdale. Limm’s time of 54.47 seconds in the 100 fly was a state-qualifying time.
