Police break up heroin trafficking ring
The Snohomish Regional Drug and Gang Task Force last week served search warrants at three addresses. They arrested eight people and seized more than $550,000, in addition to 23 pounds of heroin, worth roughly $1 million, county sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
The traffickers are believed to be associated with the Mexican Sinaloa drug cartel.
The arrests included a 30-year-old Everett man, a 26-year-old Shoreline woman, a 27-year-old Shoreline man, a 28-year-old Lynnwood woman, a 29-year-old Lynnwood man, and a 22-year-old California man.
Their names weren’t released, but arrest reports combined with county jail bookings show at least one of the men is being held on $750,000 bail.
Also seized were six vehicles and a house, Ireton said.
In a news release, Sheriff Ty Trenary called the bust “a huge win for Snohomish County.”
