EVERETT — A woman involved in a collision that blocked traffic on I-5 in Everett Thursday morning was listed in satisfactory condition at a local hospital Friday.
The Washington State Patrol is investigating whether prescription drugs could have played a role in the crash that blocked traffic for miles, trooper Mark Francis said.
The Bellingham woman, 58, told troopers she was enroute to a medical procedure and was feeling stressed out when she lost control of her Mazda MX-5 Miata, Francis said.
Her car crossed four lanes before crashing into the SUV in the southbound lane.
A passenger in the other car — A Florida woman, 43 — received medical treatment but did not need to be admitted to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, officials said. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
