MARYSVILLE — A Greg Bowman putback at the buzzer sealed an overtime win for Mountlake Terrace over Marysville Pilchuck in a Wesco 3A crossover game.
Trailing by six at halftime, the Hawks rallied with a 16-11 fourth quarter to put the game into overtime. Mountlake Terrace held a three-point lead in the game’s final minute before a Michael Painter 3-pointer tied the score at 60 with 10 seconds remaining. A shot attempt with little time remaining fell short before Bowman’s offensive rebound and putback won the game. Bowman scored four points in the overtime period.
Painter scored a game-high 27 points to lead the Tomahawks in the loss.
“Bowman came alive in the fourth quarter and overtime,” Marysville Pilchuck head coach Bary Gould said. “Him and Lacasse were tough inside the whole night.”
