Welcome to the offseason. Technically the Seahawks’ 2013 season came to an end Sunday with the first Super Bowl title in franchise history, but the region still had to celebrate, and did so in spectacular fashion Wednesday, which is the topic of my column in today’s Herald.
Speaking of which, be sure to check out our photo gallery from the celebration.
Carroll talked a bit about his team’s offseason needs, or lack thereof, and Golden Tate and Michael Bennett both say they want to stay in Seattle.
Art Thiel of SportsPressNW.com, a man who has been around the Seattle sports scene for long time (I swear that’s not a euphemism for old), with a nice column on the significance of Seattle’s Super Bowl title and yesterday’s celebrations.
Doug Baldwin writes what Super Bowl Sunday was like for him in TheMMQB.com.
Also at TheMMQB.com, a story that says Kam Chancellor should have been Super Bowl MVP.
On his own website (RichardSherman25.com) Richard Sherman gives you a look at what things were like on the field after the game.
NFL.com’s Bucky Brooks says the Seahawks stopped the Broncos with a pretty simple (and obviously effective) scheme.
NFL.com also has an offseason forecast for the Seahawks.
SI.com’s Doug Farrar looks what’s next for the Seahawks.
Also from Farrar, because it’s never to early to talk draft, his first mock draft of the year, which has Seattle looking to upgrade at guard.
At CBSSports.com, a former agent says the Seahawks’ window may not be as big as most think.
ESPN’s Terry Blount with his Seahawks season wrap.
And if haven’t seen it yet, the Seahawks, not surprisingly, are on the cover of this week’s Sports Illustrated.
