Fear and Skittles: An estimated 700,000 fans flooded downtown Seattle streets as the Seahawks celebrated the team’s Super Bowl win with a parade and rally. 12th Man favorite Marshawn Lynch teetered on the hood of a “duck,” tossing Skittles to the crowd.
We’ll blame it on our acute case of Battered Fan Syndrome, but we desperately wanted to tell Lynch to sit down and buckle up, convinced he was going to slip on a Skittle, fall and suffer a career-ending injury.

Before the parade passes by: The Seahawks parade started about 11 a.m. at the Space Needle and concluded at CenturyLink Field in time for a 3 p.m. rally.
Four hours to go three miles? Even Bronco quarterback Peyton Manning moved quicker than that.

Should be clear in time for the next season’s first preseason game: After the celebration, the 700,000 fans had to make their way home, jamming city streets and all roads leading out of Seattle for hours.
Still feeling a little defensive, N.J. Gov. Chris Christie denied he had any advance knowledge of the traffic jams in Seattle but offered to fire a staffer.
