EVERETT — The City Council will keep its current schedule with one day meeting per month.
A split 3-4 council Wednesday voted down an ordinance to switch to all night meetings. Voting in the majority against the proposal were council President Jeff Moore and Councilmen Ron Gipson, Rich Anderson and Scott Murphy. Voting for it were Councilwoman Brenda Stonecipher with Councilmen Paul Roberts and Scott Bader.
Most Everett council meetings take place on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. The exception is the fourth Wednesday of the month, when they start at 12:30 p.m.
