Breakdown: Since losing to Kentwood in last year’s state regionals, the Royals have had this weekend circled. This year they get a Bellarmine Prep team that ran roughshod over the Narrows 4A this season, going undefeated in league and winning 13 consecutive games at one point. But it was a down year in the Narrows 4A and the Lions are 0-2 against ranked teams. Bellarmine Prep also lost its season opener to Jackson, which lost both of its games to Lynnwood by an average margin of 37.5 points. Another bad sign for Bellarmine Preps is its lack of height (Martin is the only Lions’ player above 6-feet at 6-2). Expect Pivec to have a big game and the Royals to finally punch their ticket to Tacoma.
