OAK HARBOR — A 69-year-old Whidbey Island man suffered serious injuries after a single-car, rollover crash on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The man was driving a 2005 Honda Accord north in the 1300 block of Crosby Road when he crossed the center line around 3:45 p.m., a Washington State Patrol collision memo said. The driver over-corrected, slid broadside and hit a tree. The collision partially ejected him from the car.
He was airlifted to Haborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was listed in serious condition.
Troopers said the cause of the crash remained under investigation.
