Grip and grin: Oscars host Ellen DeGeneres coaxed several A-list stars to appear in a selfie with her during the awards show, but the photo reportedly took Twitter out of service when it was retweeted more than a million times.

Not bad, considering it didn’t involve a wardrobe malfunction.

The actress stumbles: Actress Jennifer Lawrence, nominated for an Oscar for her portrayal of an unhinged woman in “American Hustle,” tripped on the red carpet on her way into the theater. It was the second year in a row that Lawrence has stumbled during the Academy Awards.

Really, should we be nominating actors who can’t walk and chew scenery at the same time?

Got our vote: A mix-up in AT&T’s phone lines is being blamed for a Port Angeles pizza parlor receiving a deluge of calls, not for pizza but for votes for one of the performers on Fox TV’s “American Idol” on Wednesday night. Fox and AT&T are working on a fix.

If it isn’t fixed, you’re next American Idol could be a 16-inch thin crust with pepperoni, mushrooms and extra cheese.
