SPOKANE — The Tulalip Heritage boys basketball team cruised through the first three quarters of its state quarterfinal against Neah Bay, building a 10-point lead.
But in the fourth quarter, Neah Bay showed why it’s the No 1-ranked 1B team in the state.
The Red Devils outscored third-ranked Tulalip Heritage 27-9 in the fourth quarter Thursday to rally for a 68-60 victory at Spokane Arena.
With the loss, the Hawks (24-2) drop into the consolation bracket. They face Wellpinit at 9 a.m. Friday in a loser-out game.
Ayrik Miranda scored 16 points to lead Tulalip Heritage. Shawn Sanchey added 12 points and Bradley Fryberg dished out 11 assists.
Ryan Moss led Neah Bay with 25 points, including five 3-point field goals. The Red Devils (19-2) face Pomeroy on Friday in the semifinals.
