The slide occurred Saturday evening. The owner of the tracks, BNSF Railway, requires passenger trains to wait 48 hours to move through an area following a slide.
Sound Transit will provide special buses with direct service to and from Sounder stations in Everett, Mukilteo and Edmonds in addition to local bus service.
Added buses will depart Everett Station at 5:45, 6:15 and 6:45 a.m. Monday and the Greyhound loading area at 7:15 a.m. Riders also may board regularly scheduled Sound Transit Express Route 510 buses, which depart approximately every 10 minutes.
Added buses will leave the Mukilteo station 6:26 and 7:26 a.m. Riders may board regularly scheduled Community Transit Route 417 across from the ferry terminal at 5:49, 6:21, 6:51, 7:21 and 7:53 a.m.
Added buses will leave Edmonds Station at 6:41 and 7:41 a.m. at the north side of the Amtrak lot. Riders may board regularly scheduled Community Transit Route 416 at 5:45, 6:15, 6:34, 6:55 and 7:42 a.m.
Check www.soundtransit.org for updates. If there are no additional slides, train service will resume Tuesday morning.
