The majority of Washington lawmakers didn’t miss a vote in the just-completed 60-day session.
That’s according to the Missed Votes Report released today by WashingtonVotes.org, a free online vote-tracking service offered by the Washington Policy Center.
Only three legislators missed more than 50 votes during this session and 90 lawmakers — 25 in the Senate, 65 in the House — racked up a perfect roll call record, according to the report.
Last year, when lawmakers held a 105-day session and three special sessions, 53 lawmakers had a perfect roll call record, according to Franz Gregory, director of WashingtonVotes.org.
Here’s the digest of what the group found for the 2014 session:
Bills introduced: 1,372
Roll Call votes in the House: 515
Roll Call votes in the Senate: 396
Measures passed by the Legislature: 237
Number of legislators who didn’t miss any of these votes: 90
Number of legislators who missed more than 50 votes: 3
