EVERETT — After Cascade rallied from a 2-0 deficit to put the game into overtime, Mariner’s Edgar Navarro scored on a free kick in the 84th minute to give the Marauders their first victory of the season.
“It was absolutely a beautifully struck ball,” Cascade head coach Sam Croft said. “He hit it perfectly and it was a very nice shot.”
The Marauders jumped out to an early 2-0 lead to begin the match. Orlando Guzman scored first in the 10th minute and Navarro scored his first goal in the 25th minute. The Bruins fought back with two goals from Nazar Yaychenya, first in the 65th minute and again in the 79th.
“To come back the way we did im just so proud of my boys,they did a fantastic job,” Croft said. “Yeah we lost, but we came back and fought hard.”
