Woman backs car into Arlington hotel

A woman apparently backed her car into an Arlington hotel room Tuesday. No injuries were reported.
The 22-year-old driver declined medical treatment after the incident, which took place shortly before 3 p.m. at the Smokey Point Motor Inn on Smokey Point Boulevard.
The car was almost fully inside the ground-floor room. Fire crews searched the room and found no one there, according to Kristin Banfield, a spokeswoman for the city of Arlington.
Neighboring rooms were searched and cleared and the building was deemed safe. A temporary support was installed in the damaged room.
The cause of the accident was under investigation Wednesday.
