Last week we started a new segment on the blog where we highlight an artist or band that is playing the Everett Music Initiative's Fisherman's Village Music Festival in downtown Everett on May 16th and 17th.

This week's artist spotlight is on Seattle electro/hiphop/soul duo Fly Moon Royalty.

Fly Moon Royalty is comprised of Adra Boo and Mike "Action Jackson" Illvestor. The pair met when they were working together years ago and decided they should jam together sometime. Since then these two have been cranking out anthems (including a song called "The Anthem") and lighting up dance floors up and down the West Coast.

With the release of their new EP Unfinished Business Fly Moon Royalty have been turning a lot of heads. Yesterday they were the myspace.com (yes, I said myspace) Artist of the Day and earlier this month VIBE.com debuted their new music video for "DNA" which you can see below with a cameo from Everett's own Mary Lambert.
