EDMONDS — A man was fatally stabbed Friday morning outside an Edmonds grocery store.
Police arrested two people for investigation of murder and are continuing to sort out what led up to the violence.
Officers were called to a disturbance just before 6 a.m. outside the Westgate QFC in the 22800 block of 100th Avenue W. They found a man in the parking lot, dead from an apparent stabbing, Edmonds Assistant Police Chief James Lawless said.
Officers had been given the description of a vehicle seen leaving the scene and possibly connected to the stabbing.
Police located the vehicle near 15th Avenue W. and Eight Place. A man and a woman were inside. There was evidence that they’d been in an altercation, Lawless said. The man had minor injuries and was first taken to a local hospital.
Both suspects were later booked into the Snohomish County Jail. They also are being investigated for robbery. Police believe the pair knew the victim.
“There is no indication there are additional suspects,” Lawless said.
The slain man’s name and hometown were not released Friday.
