Arlington: Easter Egg Hunt next week: The city of Arlington is holding its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, in the grassy open area on the south end of the Arlington Airport. Children ages 12 and younger are invited to participate in the hunt, and should bring their own basket. The Easter Bunny will also be available for photos. Enter the Arlington Airport property from 172nd Street onto 51st Avenue (at the traffic light). Parking is available in the field.
Lake Stevens: Rotary raising funds for skatepark: The Rotary Club of Lake Stevens is raising funds for a skateboard park, scholarships for students and other causes at its third annual Wine, Beer and Silent Auction on Friday. Admission is $25 per person, which includes hors d’oeuvres, four tastings and one raffle ticket. Additional tastings, nonalcoholic beverages, and raffle tickets will be sold. The event will be held from 6-9 p.m. in the Blue Heron Room at the Port of Everett Waterfront Center, 1205 Craftsman Way, Everett. Mill Creek: Serve on economic committee: The Mill Creek City Council is seeking volunteers interested in joining a new economic development committee.
This committee is expected to create and recommend ideas to the City Council to promote economic development in Mill Creek.
The council wants to appoint 10 to 15 people who represent business owners or operators, commercial property owners and people with expertise in economic development.
Residency in Mill Creek is not required.
The committee is scheduled to meet twice a month for a period of up to three months. It is anticipated to begin meeting in May.
The committee will be responsible for preparing reports and presenting them to the City Council.
