EVERETT — Archbishop Murphy’s Megan Ehlebracht singled to right-center field with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Wildcats the Cascade Conference victory over the Red Wolves on Thursday.
The Wildcats trailed 3-0 entering the seventh against Cedarcrest’s Lauren Rich, who no-hit Archbishop Murphy through six innings. Rich began the seventh inning but allowed a single a fielder’s choice and a walk before being replaced by Morgan Brown.
The bottom of the Archbishop Murphy order started the game-winning rally for the Wildcats (3-1 league, 4-2 overall), and leadoff hitter Alyson Matriotti singled to score Natalie Hayward with their first run.
With two outs and Matriotti on second, Nicole Manuel singled to drive in the tying run, and after Maureen Kelly was hit by a pitch, Ehlebracht won itfor the Wildcats.
Baylee Robertson threw a complete game in the circle for Archbishop Murphy, striking out two and walking three.
Hailey Lacher and Rich doubled for Cedarcrest (3-1, 4-2).
